SKSF Introduces new Volunteer Coordinator during National Volunteer Month

By Published On: April 30, 2023

April 30, 2023, Colorado Springs, CO – Special Kids Special Families (SKSF) strives to spread awareness about their mission – to promote, strengthen & support individuals with disabilities, their families & caregivers.  They are excited to introduce new SKSF team member, Leslee Carr as SKSF’s new Volunteer Coordinator whose focus is to engage the community with new and exciting volunteer opportunities.  Leslee started with SKSF in early March 2023 and is excited for the opportunity to reinstate SKSF’s volunteer program after a few stagnant years.  “My role as Volunteer Coordinator is to find volunteers, train and match them to various opportunities within the organization. Over the next few months, I will be updating our files with your requests, confirming contact information, arranging some special projects at our programs and notifying you of upcoming volunteer opportunities,” says Leslee.

SKSF was involved in COSILoveYou City Serve Day on Saturday, April 29, 2023 where several volunteers helped prepare the Adult Services gardens for the spring.  Planting bulbs, seeds, creating garden beds and filling each bed with needed soil and hay was a HUGE help to Special Kids Special Families!
