Community and center-based programs for adults and seniors with disabilities offering various opportunities for growth and development. Joey’s Place utilizes mentorship, flexibility, understanding of family and home care provider concerns, and incorporates the individual’s goals, interests, and skills to promote clients to live full independent and productive lives to achieve community integration and independence throughout their life.
RESIDENTIAL
HOST HOME
Residential Host Home (RHH) offers adults and seniors with disabilities a living position in the home of the care provider allowing for full care and assistance outside of the clients’, family’s home. RHH is a great option for people with special needs who may or may not require more advanced care but in either case cannot live independently. In many circumstances, residential host homes also provide a social and enhanced helpful setting for the residents that they would not otherwise have if they lived with parents or on their own.
BUILDING CONNECTIONS
Building Connections is a skills and relational group program where clients have the option to talk and learn about the subjects that they want in a hands-on way. Clients will interact with others through various themed activities relating to a discussion topic of the day encouraging socialization, communication, and the development of friendships.
