In partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, we are pleased to offer free transportation services for individuals with disabilities & their caregivers to receive seasonal vaccinations this cold & flu season.Our first vaccine transportation event will take place on Thurs 10/24/24 4-6pm at the Bricker Elementary School Vaccine Clinic (4880 Dover Dr, Colorado Springs). The clinic will provide no-cost flu & COVID-19 vaccinations to individuals who are on Medicaid only, uninsured, or underinsured. Approximate pick-up & drop-off times to be confirmed closer to the event. We recommend keeping your schedule open from 3-7PM. Special Kids Special Families is proud to be participating in the election process & showing our clients the importance of exercising their right to vote. We will be moderating the League of Women's Voters event tonight & will incorporate questions from our clients related to issues impacting individuals with disabilities. Additionally, our clients will be volunteering at the event & manning a booth related to a grant that we recently received from CDPHE titled Community Immunity.
