May, 2015: COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo – “What I like about volunteers is that they’re always nice to use, ” said 13 year old Logan Kelso, who attends Zach’s Place. Volunteers not only interact with children at Zach’s Place, they also help with the up-keep. “Being a non-profit, that’s a huge help to us with money,” said Renae Isakson, Program Director for Zach’s Place. Isakson says the non-profit is the only licensed child care facility in the Pikes Peak region with the training and focus to provide respite care for special needs children and their siblings.
