SKSF temporarily suspends adult day services during COVID-19 crisis
March 24, 2020: As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, Special Kids Special Families is being vigilant in keeping our clients and staff safe during this time. Additionally, we are following all mandates from various governmental agencies to further do our part to contain and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. While we recently and temporarily closed our Adult day program facility for the next 30 days due to the COVID-19 health crisis, as of today we continue to do home visits with our current clients who request services. We CONTINUE to keep all other SKSF programs up and running – Zach’s Place childcare / respite care center, Residential Services, Foster Care and Behavioral Health services.
We’d like to thank our teams for their dedication and commitment to our clients and organization. We have placed strict hand washing, cleaning and distancing rules at all of our facilities to keep everyone safe and healthy during this time.
As we navigate the uncertainty of this public health crisis, we will continue to assess on a day-to-day basis and keep you informed.

We know that many area businesses are effected by this virus and mandated to close their doors. In addition, many individuals are out of work and/or caring for loved ones. Special Kids Special Families is committed to the individuals we serve, our staff and our community and when this crisis is over, our hope is that we can connect with our supporters, donors and volunteers and bring back our strong Colorado Springs community by supporting one another.
We are in this together!~ Wishing you all health, hope and peace ~
