Whole Kids Foundation Awards SKSF for Garden Program

August 15, 2024, Colorado Springs, CO – The Whole Kids Foundation has awarded a generous ,000 grant to support the garden program at Special Kids Special Families, enabling the organization to expand its efforts in promoting healthy eating and environmental education. This funding will be used to enhance the existing garden space, provide essential gardening tools and resources, and offer educational workshops to children and families. In addition, the grant will support an edible educational garden project that will assist children of all abilities to engage in fresh fruits and vegetables. The grant will also help strengthen the nonprofit’s mission to connect youth with the food they grow, fostering a deeper understanding of sustainability and nutrition.
