SKSF Challenges You to Beat the Special Olympics SKSF Team Heroes during 16th Annual Bowl-A-Rama
February 13, 2025, Colorado Springs, CO – The 16th annual Bowl for the Green Bowl-A-Rama is right up your alley and is quickly approaching. This is a fundraising event to help raise vital funding for SKSF programs for individuals with disabilities and their families. It’s a FUN and casual St. Patrick’s Day themed event where participants bowl and win prizes for their efforts. The event is for all ages and abilities! Additionally, SKSF will be honoring the Special Olympic SKSF Team Hereos Bowling Team on last season’s success.
This past November, SKSF took home GOLD in the Unified Doubles Special Olympic State Bowling Competition and Silver in the Athlete Doubles! These athletes are top notch and are ready to take on new competitors. Think you have what it takes to defeat Team Hereos? Then join them in a friendly competition to support their amazing mission where winners take home a prize.

Participating in our Bowl for the Green Bowl-a-Rama is a fun way to support and ensure that our critical services remain, and to honor our Special Olympic athletes.”
The 16th Annual Bowl for the Green Bowl-a-Rama will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 2pm – 4:30pm at King Pin Lanes bowling alley (3410 N Academy Blvd in Colorado Springs). Admission to the event is $35 per person or $20 per child (15 years or younger). Admission includes a snack voucher to use at the concession area, 2 games of bowling, reserved bowling lane, shoe rental, and participation in contest and drawing prizes. Special Kids Special Families (SKSF) is a non-profit umbrella organization with several unique services and programs designed to support people with disabilities of all ages from early childhood through senior adult as well as their families and caregivers. For over 25 years, SKSF has been honored to serve clients and support their caregivers and families. Steadily over the years, SKSF has grown to more than 60+ dedicated staff, 16 vehicles providing rides to essential appointments, offering more than 10 dynamic and wide-ranging critical services, and serving more than 500+ amazing clients annually! SKSF offers programs for individuals with disabilities serving families without discrimination including all ethnicities, ages and situations. Services include:
- Child and Family Services that encompasses Zach’s Place child and respite care center, in addition to Foster and Adoption Care services;
- Adult and Senior Services offering day programs and Host Home opportunities for adults and seniors with disabilities;
- Support and Empowerment Services offers a range of assistance including transportation, therapeutic gardening program, QMAP classes, home care services, veteran and military support, partnership with Special Olympics, and Behavioral Health Services offering counseling and specialized therapy to individuals ages 4 to adulthood.
