To PROMOTE, STRENGTHEN and SUPPORT individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers.
Special Kids Special Families (SKSF) is a Colorado non-profit 501(c)3 organization. SKSF was founded in 1998 to provide respite and care for children and adults with disabilities. Programs offer community support services to families that are designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities throughout their life span.

The mission of Special Kids Special Families is to support and empower individuals with disabilities through accessible care and family support services. Special Kids Special Families has served the Colorado Springs community for over 25 years. During this time, the organization has expanded family support services, respite care, and adult programs while remaining focused on meeting the evolving needs of individuals with disabilities.
Special Kids Special Families operates programs such as children’s respite care, adult day programs, foster care and adoption, and empowerment services. These disability support programs are designed to provide consistent care options while supporting family stability and community engagement.
Special Kids Special Families is led by a team of professionals experienced in disability advocacy and nonprofit service delivery. Leadership focuses on guiding family empowerment initiatives, maintaining community partnerships, and ensuring programs align with the organization’s mission and values.
