SKSF announces new board members
December 15, 2023, Colorado Springs, CO – Special Kids Special Families announces three new board members to their Board of Directors. Amber Osika, David Thorsby and Kate Singh. SKSF appreciates their volunteerism and dedication to the mission of promoting, strengthening and supporting individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers.
AMBER OSIKA
Amber is a Colorado native and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She has held a variety of positions in many industries and currently working in the fertilizer industry and does medical billing on the side. Amber holds a special place in her heart for individuals with special needs. She has a sister who she is co-guardian of who has Down Syndrome. Some of her interests are live music and concerts, traveling, going to the spa, reading, and playing cards. She is very active in her church and enjoys meeting and connecting with new people.
DAVID THORSBY
David is the Business Development & Commercial Card Rep for Bank of the San Juans in El Paso County. He is a Colorado native from the farmlands south of Durango and has worked in the financial Industry for 8 years. He received his Bachelor in Business Admin from Regis University, where he met his fiancé. They moved to the Springs in May 2022, and in his spare time, he enjoys collecting books, hiking the Colorado Trail, and eating whatever his fiancé decides to bake.
KATE SINGH
Kate is the Director of Communications for the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. She also spent 20 years working in journalism, primarily in Colorado Springs and has a well-rounded communications background emphasizing strategy and storytelling. Kate and her husband, Michael, are raising two wonderful children – one with special needs – and a sweet (albeit needy) red lab.
